Account data

We store account credentials or connected sign-in details and preferences.

Story data

Prompts, generated text, and generated images are stored so you can read saved stories later.

Optional picture references

In supported regions, an adult can keep a resized, metadata-stripped original-look character reference or make an illustrated version and switch the active choice. Both references stay in that browser and are not persisted by Little Storybook servers. The active version is sent to the selected picture provider while making pages. Finished likeness-personalized pages are saved normally but stay private.

Your child’s photo

When you add a photo to put your child in a story, the photo is sent only to paint those pictures and is never stored: it is not written to our database, media storage, or logs, and it is dropped when the pictures finish. You must be the child’s parent or guardian, or have their permission. Finished pictures are stored privately like any other story image.

Payments

Story pack payments are handled by our reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for our orders. Paddle receives your payment details; we never see or store card numbers. We keep the order number, pack, amount, and the email it was bought with.

Analytics and free allowances

Minimal first-party identifiers support privacy-respecting analytics and the 5-public-books-per-day allowance. Submitted request analytics keeps only broad fixed themes, format, length, input method, and personalization flags—not raw prompts, pasted stories, child names, teaching-context text, or in-progress typing.

Deletion

You can delete any story or profile, and delete your whole account (with all its stories, profiles, and pictures), from your account page under Account. Email [email protected] for help.
