Ellie the Dancing Elephant

Ellie the elephant loved to dance.

Ellie the elephant loved to dance. Stomp, stomp, twirl! The ground shook when she danced.

"Elephants do not dance," said the monkeys. "You are too big!"

But Ellie did not stop. She swayed her trunk. She wiggled her ears. She tapped her big feet.

The birds heard the beat. They started to chirp along. Tweet, tweet, tweet!

The frogs started to croak a tune. Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit!

Soon all the jungle animals were dancing with Ellie. The monkeys swung from the trees. The zebras did a zigzag dance. Even the shy turtle spun in a circle.

The jungle had never been so happy! Music and laughter everywhere.

The monkeys swung down. "We were wrong, Ellie. You are the best dancer ever!"

Ellie smiled her biggest smile. "Everyone can dance," she said. "You just have to feel the music in your heart." Stomp, stomp, twirl!
