My name is Leo. I am three years old. Soon a new baby sister will come to live at our house. My grown-up and I get the nursery ready. There is a wooden crib and a rocking chair. A felt cloud mobile hangs above the crib. Sometimes I wonder if the baby will take all my grown-up's time. Many big brothers wonder that too. It is okay to feel a little unsure. New babies need lots of help. My grown-up feeds her and changes her diaper. Babies usually sleep a lot, too. Sometimes I wait while my grown-up helps the baby. Waiting can feel long. I can try sitting close and humming a quiet song for my sister. When the baby sleeps, my grown-up and I usually have time together. We read on the soft sofa. Sometimes we build on the striped play mat. My grown-up still loves me. Love grows bigger when a family grows. I am Leo, and I am a big brother.
