## The story text
Somebody left all the lost socks in the sky. That's what the clouds looked like this morning, all bunched up and gray and droopy. But then — whoooosh — something big flew right through them. It was Rumble. A giant rat with soft brown fur, tiny round ears, and two enormous wings that went flap flap flap like a grandma shaking out a blanket. Every day Rumble flew slowly over the park, over the puddles, over the gardens. The children always looked up and asked the same thing. "Rumble, what did you find today?" And Rumble would open his big cheek pouches — because rats have those, you know — and show them. One day, a pile of litter from the pond. One day, a tangle of old plastic bags from the tall oak tree. Flap flap flap, Rumble picked things up and carried them gently to the big green bin by the gate. Tip-tap, soft and small. Tip-tap, home we go. But today Rumble landed right in the middle of the garden path and sat very still. His nose twitched. His whiskers wiggled. Then he pressed one giant paw softly into the mud and patted a small worm back under the dirt where it belonged. The children watched quietly. Rumble looked up at them with his warm black eyes. "Oh," whispered one little girl. "He's not just cleaning up. He's being careful." Rumble's cheeks puffed up in the biggest rat smile. Then he stood, went flap flap flap, and lifted back into the sky. The clouds broke open. The sun came through. And down below, a tiny worm wriggled happily in the warm, dark earth. Then came the gentle surprise: the little sound was making a tiny path for a friend. The little friend helped right away, tucked the tiny clue into a cozy spot, and smiled. Tip-tap, softly we go.

Every day Rumble flew slowly over the park, over the puddles, over the gardens. And the children always asked, "Rumble, what did you find today?" Flap, flap, flap — out came the litter from his big round cheeks.
