Snail's Slow Day
Snail was the slowest one in the garden.
Snail was the slowest one in the garden. Everyone else was fast. Bunny hopped fast. Butterfly flew fast. Even Beetle ran fast.
"Hurry up, Snail!" they said. But Snail could only go slow. Slide, slide, slide.
Snail did not mind. He saw things nobody else saw.
He saw a tiny dewdrop on a leaf. It sparkled like a diamond. "How pretty!" said Snail.
He saw a baby ladybug taking her first steps. "You can do it!" cheered Snail.
He saw a flower that was just starting to open. Pink and soft. "Hello, little flower," said Snail.
At the end of the day, the other animals came back. "What did you do today?" they asked.
Snail told them about the dewdrop and the ladybug and the flower. "I never see those things!" said Bunny.
"That is because you go too fast," smiled Snail. "Sometimes slow is the very best way to go."
