How the photo is handled

Is it free?
Yes. One story per day here is free, with no account. A free account comes with 5 creations, and packs start at $7.99 for 10.
Do I need an account?
No. Type a name and a line and the book is made right here. An account only matters when you want to keep your child for next time and make more.
What happens to the photo?
It is resized in your browser, sent to the picture service only while the pages are painted, and never written to our database, media, logs or backups. Pages made with it stay private.
Does it read aloud?
Yes. Every page gets a recorded voice. Tap Listen and the book reads and turns its own pages.
Can I download or print it?
Yes. Type your email under the finished book and we send a printable PDF with a private link that works for 7 days.
Which languages?
English and more than thirty family languages, including Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Arabic, Chinese, Malay and Indonesian. If your browser is not in English the page offers your language first.
Why is the photo not available in the EU?
A child’s face is biometric data under EU rules, and we are not yet set up to meet those rules. Visitors there can still make the story by name; only the photo is left out.
