Story

On a flying carpet of soft green moss, Ember the little dragon set out cups for a tea party.

Her guests were grand. Turtle in a top hat. Peacock with cupcake feathers. Snail with a tiny accordion.

The teapot was as big as a hot-air balloon. The cookies were as big as moons.

"Tea! Tea!" everyone shouted. "Me first! Me first!"

Ember puffed a tiny flame. The kettle bubbled too fast. WHOOSH! Tea splashed everywhere.

Ember took a slow breath. "Let us try again. With patience."

She sang a little patience song.

"In and out, one two three, Wait your turn, soft as can be."

Turtle breathed in and out. Peacock fluffed slowly. Snail closed her eyes.

Ember poured the first cup. "Turtle first." Turtle smiled.

She poured the next cup. "Peacock second." Peacock bowed.

She poured the next cup. "Snail third." Snail squeaked thank you.

Each guest waited kindly. Each guest got a perfect warm cup.

Then everyone clinked cups together. Tinkle tinkle!

The cookies were shared moon by moon. The accordion played a soft slow song. The clouds gathered close to listen.

"Patience tastes like the best tea," said Ember.

It was the calmest, coziest sky-party the clouds had ever seen.

மேகத்தில் ஒரு டீ விருந்து

மென்மையான பச்சை பாசி கம்பளம் மேகத்தில் மிதந்தது. அதன் மேல் சின்ன டிராகன் எம்பர் கப்புகளை அழகாக அடுக்கினாள். "இன்று டீ விருந்து!" என்று அவள் மெதுவாகச் சிரித்தாள்.

பெரிய விருந்தினர்கள் வந்தனர்

முதலில் வந்தது ஆமை — தலையில் கருப்பு டாப் ஹாட். பிறகு வந்தது மயில் — இறகுகள் கப்கேக் போல. கடைசியில் வந்தது நத்தை — கையில் சின்ன அக்கார்டியன். "வாங்க, வாங்க!" என்றாள் எம்பர்.

விஷ் — டீ தெறித்தது!

"எனக்கு முதலில்! எனக்கு முதலில்!" எல்லோரும் கூவினார்கள். எம்பர் சின்ன நெருப்பை ஊதினாள். கெட்டில் வேகமாக பொங்கியது. விஷ்! டீ எங்கும் தெறித்தது. ஐயோ!

பொறுமை பாட்டு

எம்பர் ஒரு நீளமான மூச்சு எடுத்தாள். "மறுபடி முயற்சி செய்வோம். பொறுமையோடு." அவள் மெல்ல பாடினாள்: "உள்ளே வெளியே, ஒன்று இரண்டு மூன்று, உன் முறை வரும், மெதுவாக மெதுவாக." ஆமை மூச்சு விட்டது. மயில் இறகை மெதுவாக விரித்தது. நத்தை கண் மூடியது.

வானத்தில் கனிவான விருந்து

எம்பர் முதல் கப்பை ஊற்றினாள். "ஆமை முதலில்." பிறகு, "மயில் இரண்டாவது." பிறகு, "நத்தை மூன்றாவது." எல்லோரும் கப்பை சேர்த்து தட்டினார்கள். டிங் டிங்! "பொறுமை தான் சிறந்த டீ ருசி," என்றாள் எம்பர். மேகங்களும் சிரித்தன.
