Story

Maya skips to the blue school gate. Leo comes tap-tap-tapping. Sam comes hurry-hurry-hurrying. “Hello, friends!” they call. A new day is better together.

At school, the friends paint. Maya makes a yellow sun. Leo adds a blue sky. Sam dabs green grass below. Three small hands make one big picture.

After school, they play beneath the park’s big oak. There is one little red truck—and three friends. Maya rolls it to Leo. Leo rolls it to Sam. Sam rolls it back. “My turn, your turn, our fun!”

The sky turns peachy. It is time to go. “Bye, Maya!” “Bye, Leo!” “Bye, Sam!” They wave up high. They wave down low. “See you tomorrow!”

Maya comes home for a cuddle. Leo comes home for supper. Sam comes home for a story. Three friends, three cozy homes, one happy thought: Tomorrow, they will meet again.
